What’s wrong with this name!?

Seems like everyone loves classic old fashion names except for Gary! What the hell is wrong with Gary!? Is it because you don’t know how to pronounce it- “guh-air-ee” or something else like it’s too uncommon nowadays? What’s so wrong with Gary? 🤔 🤷🏼‍♀️

I love Garrison. My dad is Gary. It seems so old to me. It’s not quite ready for a comeback. There’s a 100 year rule, and its about 30 years away from it. Then it will be cool again. 
 I love the nickname Garris and have considered naming a child Garrison after my dad.

I think it’s just that people having babies nowadays grew up in an era where “Gary” was always an adult. It’s just so hard to imagine a baby Gary. I feel the same way about Kevin, Arnold, Mitch, Carl, Randy, etc.

I'm not sure what it is, but it just rubs me the wrong way. It stinks too because I like names like Garrett and Garrison, but I know he'll end up being called Gary if we go with that.

It reminds me of a creepy old guy and is dated sounding. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I do like the name Garrison, though. I had a student with this name once, and I have liked it ever since!

My older brother is Gary and there is nothing wrong with it at all! I personally really like it. It isn't weird like most new names now days lol

I think certain classic names just aren’t thought of as “cute” or whatever by the mainstream. Like Gary, Eugene/Gene, Earl, etc.

Not a fan as just not my personal taste, but I Like Gray anagram of Gary.
