Can pacifiers cause a newborn to be gassy?

I’m using the Avent Soothie Hosptial pacifier. My baby seems to be gassy. Not sure if that could be part of the reason.

Babies are just gassy in general. But have you checked for tongue and lip tie? Do you bottle fees or breast feed? If baby is excessively gassy I would check for ties.
