Does sex actually help bring on Labour?

So my baby is fully engaged, and have been given the all clear to help bring on labour. I'm 36+4 and they're wanting to induce at 38 if she hasn't come before hand. 
So does sex actually help? Ive had all the signs of labour approaching

My water broke during sex at 33 weeks....

I think if your baby is ready, it will help. We tried it almost every day for the last week or two and I would have contractions right after, but nothing else would come from it.

Worked for me. I had sex at 7am at 39w1d and she was there that evening at 10:23pm!

My Ob/gyn told me to have sex to induce labor. Then told us it had to be doggy style on the edge of a bed and to make sure I was comfortable with a pillow 🤷🏼‍♀️ should of seen my hubbys face lol he was bright red.

Yeah it definitely does. My husband and I were fooling around when I was 39 weeks with our first and my water broke all over the bed 😳 what puts them in gets them out 😂

I had sex with my hubby, hour later contractions started but then stopped about 4 hours later
