We aren’t big drinkers but do enjoy one occasionally. When TTC our first  my husband continued to drink normally and I decided to only drink during my period (personal choice for my peace of mind). This time around I’m going ahead with a nice glass of wine with dinner or cold drink on the patio until I get that positive

There’s nothing wrong with drinking for both, man and woman when ttc. 
Nothing. It’s all about common sense. 
The binge drinking is where the problem is. 
Anything is excess really, is not good for you. 
Enjoy your life and be smart about it and it’s all good
