I got the pill today at my 6 week check up. My doctor told me to wait until the first day of my period to start the birth control. I looked online and it said you can start it anytime, it just takes 7 days to take effect (which is fine). I just have no idea when I will get my period because I was super irregular before getting pregnant. I could skip 2-3 months before having a period.

Is it okay to go ahead and start the pill now?
