I'm only 12 weeks and my in-laws are already talking about the shower they are planning on throwing me. I only want one shower, to be thrown by my best friend (a neutral party). I feel like they are starting to think about this way too early... I had a miscarriage at the end of last year and just want to enjoy one party when it's time to have it. they are also talking that their party will be the first one and my family's can be closer to the due date.... umm... come again!.

this is why I only want one, so it isnt a competition between this shower or that one....

okay rant over. i hope I'm the only one dealing with this as it is stupid stress and very unnecessary. is anyone else having this situation, and if so how are you dealing with it?

btw this is the first grandkid on either side, so there is lots of expected excitement.
