I'm a FTM so I'm just wondering if someone really needs to stay over night with me? The nurses should be plenty of help, right?

Our issue is my SO's company closed their business. Right after he was laid off, he was in a terrible car accident and totaled his new car. For the past month, he's been going through this lengthy hiring process for a potential job. They know we are expecting so I am sure they will be more than willing to accommodate. They told him his first day is Monday. If I don't go into labor by Monday, I'll be induced Tuesday. I told him I just want him there for the birth. But he can go to work the other days and he doesn't need to stay overnight with me. Just come to the hospital after work for a bit.

No one in our families agrees with me and thinks he should put off starting this job another week.

Between the nurses and everyone coming to visit, I am almost positive I will be fine but I just wanted some feedback since I don't really know what to expect.
