Cramps during early pregnancy .... normal?

I am almost 8 weeks pregnant and I have been having cramping. I know it is normal during early pregnancy but is it supposed to feel like cramps before you get your period? I’m just not sure if this is “normal.” It seems to be the worst when I am trying to go to bed and am laying down. Any advice would be appreciated. I don’t see my dr until Wednesday and I am freaking out here.

You're fine hun. Throughout your pregnancy you'll have mild cramping like when you're about to start your period. I had cramping from 6 weeks to 16 weeks and now I'm 21 weeks and barely have it. My dr told me it's my uterus stretching and making room for the baby and to take 1 Tylenol only as needed. I take 1 Tylenol a day if I'm cramping or have headaches and just push fluids. But this is totally normal so try to relax. If you start bleeding then get concerned, if it's only cramps you're OK.

I had cramping and spotting from 8 weeks to 9 1/2 and then more cramping around end of 10/ beginning of 11 wks. I'm almost 13 wks now and everything is good, I actually have a large uterus for 12+5 so probably just stretching and your body making room for your little bean! 😊
