Advice for responding to annoying work questions.
I would like to ask for some advice regarding answering or brushing off questions related to my career. I am at a crossroads professionally and personally. My postgraduate fellowship has just ended and I am about to have my first child. It is the first time in my life I will be unemployed. I feel uncertain and insecure, but I know people will ask me rude and invasive questions about when I'm going back to work. I only feel comfortable discussing this with people I am very close to or those in a similar field (not family). How do I shut down questions about this effectively? This causes me so much anxiety.
