Pug going nuts: in labour soon?

Question

Our dog is acting very weirdly since two days: he’s extremely nervous and not sleeping as usual, suddenly barking even at non- existing noise, staring at us while we think he’s just sleeping on the couch. Is he possessed or could he be sensing the start of labour soon? He’s making me freak out too. LOL
I then read on the internet that dogs can sense lots of things coming that we can’t.

My dogs are being similar. Very needy, if I move they are very quick to be by my side. If I’m in bed they have to be touching me. If my husband is touching me they bark non stop until he lets them near me and backs away. They became protective 3 weeks after conception, 1 week before we found out. Now it’s just intensified.

My Great Dane has been obsessed with me that last few days, super careful when walking with me, won’t let anyone near me when we are outside, barks at nothing, loses his mind when I leave the house without him, he did the same thing when I was about to have my first daughter, he got so bad that we had to kennel him at night or he would growl and snap at my husband and soon as I had our daughter all the behavior stopped and he went back to ignoring me.

omg I've been referring to my dog as "the senile old man" lately because he's been acting so bizarre! I hadn't thought about it being a connection to impending labor, but I have read that as well! Fingers crossed for us!
