Questioning my religion 😳

Hey, just to start off I absolutely loveeee this page❤️. I’ve had this question on my mind for the longest, is it ok for a non-Muslim to wear a hijab? I ask this because my family is predominately catholic. I have asked my mother this question she had told me I can wear it as long as it made me happy. I want to wear it because it gives me a sense of protection and getting closer to God. I don’t want to be offensive by wearing the hijab.
