Could I be pregnant?

My period is 5 days late and I haven’t taken a pregnancy test because I’m scared of the results. I don’t feel much different the only thing is that sex has been a bit painful for me.
*UPDATE* 
I took a test and it came back negative.. I am now a week late but I made a doctor appointment to see what it could be.

That was the only thing different for me + late period and that’s the reason I took a test. Annnnd now I’m 20.6 weeks pregnant.
