Nannying...

I’m 19 years old & nanny over the summers between school & on breaks (ie Christmas & Thanksgiving etc).

I have nannied for this family for 3 summers, they have 3 boys, 4, 5 & 7 years old. So to put it bluntly- they’re VERY dependent on me.

We (their mom and I) originally agreed on 730am-430pm, 4 days a week, BUT I’d say 3 out of the 4 days she is late, not just by a few minutes, but two days last week she was late by nearly 2 hours- leaving me to babysit for ELEVEN, nearly TWELVE hours. With 3 kids who don’t nap & end up cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner while 30 weeks pregnant.

I get paid $70 a day, no matter what hours i work, if I stay late or if I buy them something with my money.

I get paid less than minimum wage (in Ohio) per hour and I don’t get reimbursed for SHIT.

Basically my question is (for those of you who nanny or have people nannying for you) is this a fair situation? Should I bring up my pay? Should I let it go?
