Possible Induction?

I have Gestational Diabetes, was diagnosed at 8 weeks. My mom works at the Women's Clinic I go to, and says there is a fair chance I will be induced at 38 weeks to protect her from getting too big. Anyone have any in put? Will I be induced? I have an appointment Friday, and am going to ask then as well.

If it isn’t controlled that’s possible if it is controlled it will likely be 39w

I also have gd the information I was given was: unless they think the baby will be to large or there are other complications, they won’t induce until 40 weeks if you are on insulin or 41 weeks if you are diet controlled.  Every doctor may be slightly different though.
