is better to have anxiety/depression while pregnant or smoke weed?

I have anxiety disorders n depression and my pregnancy has being difficult I feel so sick. I will not take antidepressants as I'm pregnant and I've tried all natural remedies. I don't know if anxiety and depression can somehow effect my baby.

Ive been drug tested twice during pregnancy and in my state they test the baby at birth. Not worth it. Talk to your doctor about alternatives.

Sounds just like me. I was a daily smoker until I found out I was pregnant. I don’t believe that consuming THC is bad for me or my baby, smoking yes but edibles or vapor would have been my choice. I too suffer from severe anxiety as well as ADD. I quit my ADD meds cold turkey and that made everything worse. I wish I could have continued using cannabis to help with morning sickness and my panic attacks but I didn’t want my baby taken as I have been drug tested at the doc every time. and the stigma associated with being a cannabis user while pregnant was too much for me to handle. 
I have tried antidepressants and anxiety meds before pregnancy and they really messed me up so I medicated with cannabis and it has been very hard going through  this pregnancy without anything but I’m 33 weeks and I’m almost there. It has taken a lot of willpower to get this far. When I was about four months along I had a severe panic attack and was hyperventilating and I could feel my baby balling up inside me from the stress. It hurt a lot and I was worried about her. She is okay and Thankfully my fiancé knows how to help when I’m panicked and helped me calm down and breathe through it but my heart rate was sky high for a while after the initial panic wore off. 
I would try to wean off as soon as possible if you rely on it for anxiety management. Try and find other ways to cope and deal. I learned a few breathing exercises and took up drawing zentangle and bought coloring books. I wish THC use was an acceptable way for women to handle pregnancy symptoms and stress but we just aren’t there yet. I sincerely wish you the best of luck ❤️

Idk where you live but most states will test your baby at birth and if any positive for any drug you could lose your baby, it’s honestly not worth the risk. I don’t see anything wrong with smoking weed but it’s not worth losing your baby over. Maybe try yoga or something to help with the anxiety & possibly the depression, just give yourself something relaxing and mind clearing to do throughout your pregnancy.

Not much is known about THC/CBD and pregnancy, because it's been illegal for so long and few studies ever done. Plus, they generally don't organize studies that may harm humans so they often rely on people to self-report or studies on mice. I wouldn't ingest weed if it were me... we don't know enough about it yet & a lot of people say their kids are fine, but do they really know if they're fine? Most people aren't trained to recognize learning disabilities or conditions like ADHD. I got my degree in studying special needs children so I can diagnose pretty quick but a lot of people won't even realize their child has Asperger's, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Dyslexia, ADHD, etc...
FASD for example, isn't always prominent in facial features but the child will do things like have self-regulation issues, emotional outburts, trouble handling normal every day stressors, trouble with memory or learning, be socially backwards (i.e. Can't tell thevdifference between someone joking or teasing them and will get angry). You'll often see this in children of drug addicts too. But a lot of people will mistake these traits thinking the kids are just brats, headstrong, moody, have no discipline at home, etc. Also, some conditions only present themselves in the teen & early adult years (like mental illness). 
What I'm getting at though is to fear the unknown... chances are anxiety/depression has been studied much more and there are probably more pregnancy-safe measures you can take. Also, often doctors will prescribe meds that are on the "possibly dangerous" side if the benefit outweighs the risk. So if you were so depressed that it was affected the baby, they would give you something in a safe, controlled & monitored dose. Whereas with THC, nobody has any inkling what a safe dose could be at any stage of pregnancy and the doctors won't know what to look out for.
I suffer from chronic pain and had a prescription for codeine that I made good use of, and once I got pregnant I cut myself off cold turkey. And it sucks & it's hard, even the stronger Tylenol varieties felt like nothing and I tried all kinds of alternatives. I was so desperate I did research online & called a pharmacy hoping to find someone who said codeine was okay... and I did, but I was still too scared to take any. It turns out my doc did allow some leeway... at first she suggested Tylenol with Codeine (OTC). 
Then when I told her how I really suffered one week when it rained, she actually said she could prescribe me pure codeine & that the only real danger is the baby being born with withdrawal if I were to take it every day. I still didn't go for it though, because I know I need a pretty big dose because of my tolerance. But after her & even the pharmacist telling me I could just take a regular codeine pill with a Tylenol, I tried it & it worked! Apparently my tolerance fell so fast in the last 7 months that I get relief from 1 pill instead of 5.5, which makes me feel a lot better about the days when I do need it. But yeah, talk to your doc & really pressure him/her that you need something and are concerned.

I smoked before I got pregnant, oh god I’m awful right? But I’ve stopped. 
smoking is REALLY bad for baby. (not judging just trying to be informative.)
If you don’t smoke cigarettes (and even if you do), you know the awful smell that just smells horrid as soon as you light it? Like just the smell can choke you up and cause you to not want to breathe? And they’re so bad for you because you’re breathing in toxins even if you dont smoke but are around it?
That happens to baby. If you smoke they are getting that “toxin” in their body because every breath you take is a breath he/she receives and if it isn’t a “clean” breath then their receiving a toxic breath which could hurt baby. 
I’ve don’t research about how marijuana affects a baby in utero but in all honestly, it’s really just not worth it. A girl I know smoked until she was 30 weeks pregnant(me personally I just couldn’t do it bc weed is still a drug), and her baby was only 5 pounds and she carried full term.
Now he has all kinds of problems (not saying weed is the cause buuuutttt we dont really know  that it wasn’t either .) 
I have anxiety and depression as well, but I’ve learned to “ deal with it” especially so my baby can be healthy as possible. 
It’s hard to quit but worth it, especially when you start feeling big strong kicks.

Work with your doctor about safe alternatives. Other women suffer from anxiety & depression & can safely take some prescribed medications. It’s dangerous to self-medicate while pregnant. In addition, my OB drug tests all pregnant patients at their appointments. What they don’t tell you is that if you test positive at any point there’s a police officer present at your baby’s birth & they may forcibly take your child. Be careful & get the help you need for both you and your baby. Good luck.
