When did you start trying after MC?

Hey ladies. So I finally just stopped fully bleeding after having a miscarriage which was on May 25, so almost 2 weeks gone by. I finally am feeling better, my uterus was horribly sore but as of today I feel back more to my normal self... considering how painful my MC was I’m hesitant to have sex just yet but I know it’s going to happen within the next week... the doctor said don’t try conceiving until 2-3 months.   How long have you ladies waited?  What has been your experience?

I miscarried at 16 weeks on April 10th. Thought I was having my af the second week of May only to find out I had leftover tissue and had to have a D&C; May 11th. I have not had my period yet but have been getting faint positives so fingers crossed 🤞 but we weren’t ttc but we weren’t preventing it either so. Just depends on when your ready to start again. 😊❤️

I miscarried April 20. I was instructed by my doctor to wait for one normal period to return. I started my period 29 days after D&C; on April 27 so I am currently in my fertile period and TTC now. Sorry for your loss. Good luck with TTC again when you’re ready!

I miscarried May 1st and didn’t wait. I ovulated 2 weeks later (confirmed by OPKs). I didn’t get pregnant and got my first period two weeks after that. Will try again this month!

We didn’t wait and weren’t advised to do otherwise. Actually, my doctor said as long as we were emotionally ready, we’d have more luck trying again soon after than if we waited a year or more.

Had my miscarriage April 9th, three weeks later my HCG was back to 0 and got the green light by doctor to start trying again after my period and it came exactly on May 9th. Now we are in month 1 of TTC. So far, I feel like I am out for the month. So will keep trying 😊 it just depends on if the both of you are ready and then go for it!

I didn’t “try” after my MC but I also didn’t prevent. I had a MC April 7th and still have yet to see AF so hopefully that’s a good thing but who knows. Just listen to your body and when you are ready, go for it! Best of luck! ❤️

The only reason they tell you to wait is for dating your pregnancy and for emotional healing. Some people say that your uterus lining needs time to thicken however this is not true as when we ovulate the egg releases chemicals that prepare the uterus for implantation which includes thickening of the lining. If your body wasn’t ready to be pregnant it wouldn’t be. I believe I’m carrying my rainbow I had a D&C; after a MMC May 3rd and haven’t had af yet got my first VVFL yesterday after getting negatives for two weeks. Good luck in whatever you decide

I was told to wait as well by my doctor 3 months but another doctor told me one cycle and I actually tried as soon as I stopped bleeding a week after my mc. I didn’t go back down to 0 until about 6weeks after mc on March 3rd so by mid-early April I got a period that was slightly weird and then had a completely normal one on May6th and got a bfp on May 26!

I was advised to wait for my first period. We aren’t trying or preventing pregnancy right now. We shall see what happens
