When does he begin to check if you have dilated??

I hate Pap smears.
I hate cervix checks. 
I hate the breast exams done with hands.
My WISH is that they never check me. That's one of the 1000 reasons I'm birthing at a birth center with a nurse-midwife

mine didn't! he said there is no real reason.

there is no need for cervical exams unless you are contracting. especially if you are preterm. some providers will offer them once you are full term to see if you are progressing, but it honestly is unnecessary. some women start active labor at closed and some women can walk around for weeks at 5 cm.

I think every doctor is different. You can always deny them. It’s not completely necessary to be checked. But I’ll probably request at 36 weeks when they do my group B strep test.

I'm gunna request a check next week at my appointment, I'll be 33 + 6 then. I've been having lots of cramping and I just want to be reassured what's going on down there lol

36 weeks... that’s when my dr will be down there to do the group B test so she checks me at every appointment starting then.
