Sex in marriage
Salam alaikum sisters.
I am 19 years old and have been a Muslim my whole life الحمد لله. I grew up in syria for a while and now I live in the US. This comes with its disadvantages. I no longer learn about religion or Arabic in school, and I’m surrounded by way fewer Muslims. Now, as I have gotten older, I wonder things that are too uncomfortable to ask an adult. Actually, I would ask my mother, but she passed away 4 years ago (may Allah have mercy on her soul). My question is: how does a married Muslim couple have sex without wanting to conceive a child? I have read that forms of contraception are frowned upon (I don’t know if they are actually haram) because one should not prevent the creation of life. Are condoms haram? Is birth control haram? I’m just curious and I like to know these things for the future in case (inshallah) I get married. I want to educate myself because I’ve been wondering about this for a while. If you have any information please let me know. Thank you
