Does IVF require many full days off work?

Question

Thinking about skipping another round of IUI and going full force into IVF. My RE has most info due to repeated IUI's and consultations. I know I'd have several appointments, but how many full days did u guys take off? Just during egg retrieval? Or other days too? And how many for egg retrieval?

I'd suggest the day of retrieval and the day after definitely,  and maybe the day after transfer, especially if you have a strenuous job

I had to rearrange my entire schedule for work because of ivf. I usually go to work at 4am and my clinic offered me 8am-10am for my appointments so I had to work that out. I’m taking off retrieval and next day. And will probably take off the day of transfer

One full day for retrieval and only an hour or so for transfer. Unless you over stim, then you’ll probably need a few more days for recovery. My office has early morning monitoring appointments and most days I can get in at 7am, before work.

I took the day of retrieval and I think the following day (I have an active job with lots of walking around so that’s why I took off 2). Was also going to take one day off on day of transfer but ended up with a cold so took off a few days. But if it wasn’t for the cold I would have gone back after the one day.

I took two days - the day of retrieval and the day after.  I never really felt like I needed it other than that.
