Milk production after birth control.

Has anyone else had this problem? I wanted to take the oral bc that’s safe for breast feeding instead of having the mind you insert into your arm or wherever. Well around 8 weeks pp I started taking it and immediately saw a decrease in milk production. I was on it for about a week, and even got a period of some sort. I’ve since gotten off of it but my milk supply hasn’t returned. 😢 Prior to taking it I was easily pumping 4 oz per breast every time I pumped. I was filling up bags and had a really good supply going in the freezer. I’m pretty devastated about it and thought by now it would’ve come back. For a month I’ve been drinking TONS of water, pumping frequently, and letting baby nurse whenever he wants. I can barely get an ounce sometimes. Advice???
