Never watched it , but from what I’ve heard, the show is too intense, especially for the audience it is intended for, those who are most vulnerable to the problems portrayed in the show. 
If you need to put suicide hotlines after episodes, maybe you should reevaluate your show and whether it is doing more harm than good.

Kind of my opinion on it, but 13 reasons tackles the topics of mental health, sexual abuse, suicide and self harm the wrong way. From my experience on these things, the show seems to be doing it more as a shock factor then trying to make light of the issue and trying to help the main character (hannah baker) through it. I dnunno. its almost 3 in the morninv snd im too tired to post a long ass descrption abt it. But just so you know, if you wanna watch it, go ahead. but be mindful about the trigger warnings

I hate 13 reasons why. I’m sorry to people that like it but a 13 years old girl did the whole tape thing way before the series came out and I take it personally because I am suicidal and I feel like they’re making fun of people who are being bullied and have suicidal thoughts. Again I’m not hating on people that like the show but it’s just my opinion.

Mainly just episode 12 in season 1 and episode 13 in season 2 I found them to be pretty hard to watch

It’s not realistic. I watched season 1 of 13 reasons why and won’t watch anymore for a few reasons.
1) It over dramatises everything and goes for shock value, I think this is more so that people talk about the show and watch it rather than reflecting real life and that being said, it chooses very stereotypical violent and graphic depictions of certain situations (Rape/Sexual Assault), which is unnecessary and also triggering. 
2) I believe the show is actually made for profit and not to bring awareness as it claims. Therefore all the violence is purely to get people to watch because they are so “shook” by it and not to actually make an impact on anyone. This is furthered by the fact there are 3 seasons when the book is told in season 1. It’s clearly all money grabbing and producers trying to milk mental health for everything it has got.
3) Hannah baker is pathetic. Controversial, I know. But as someone who has self-harmed and been sexually assaulted and experienced bullying and an abusive relationship as well as having depression and anxiety (all from ages 14-16), she is not a hero and not representative. She is overdramatic along with everything else in that show.
4) it does kind of romanticise suicide and also blame people for her killing herself. Whilst I understand that people hurt you and can make you feel shit, ultimately it was Hannah’s choice to take her own life, nobody else’s and placing that blame on others is wrong imo and pretty defeatist. My therapist said to me “you can’t control how people treat you, but you can take control of how you react”. Also, she blames Clay (or whatever his name is) when he did nothing wrong at all. He was a sweetie.
