Merina IUD strings ?

I just got the Merina IUD this afternoon (about four hours ago),  and can feel the string when I press on my vagina, I can also feel it poking when I move around, stand or sometimes when I sit. 
Just wondering if this is normal ? Has anyone else had this happen ?

Yes that’s normal. When you have your menstriatiom you can easily touch the strings however, if your menstrauation is done it will go up.

if you can feel it at all without sticking your fingers inside of yourself then the strings have been cut too short and you need to see a different doctor about replacing it. the strings should be undetectable unless you're intentionally trying to feel them with your fingers
