Guinea pig and no pets apartment

Hi ladies, my husband and i live in a "no pets" rental unit/apartment and are interested in getting a guinea pig. We asked the landlord if a guinea pog was ok however he stated that no pets arw allowed in the unit.... we still want to get a guinea pig and were wondering if they are loud and how we can hide one when the unit is being inspected by an agent?
