Hey guys so i quit my full time job at maccas and got a job at the airport 😁😁 but maccas is saying that the requirement for resigning is 4 weeks and i may not be able to get my annual hours pay out (as i leave in 2 weeks)
Is maccas fucking me over? I have never heard anything about having to give 4 weeks notice also it is not anywhere in my contract

Tell him to point out where in your contract it says 4 weeks. Since it doesn’t, I’d remind them that you expect the full amount owed.

I assume you mean McDonalds, and while it’s customary to give 2 weeks notice, I don’t believe it’s required by contract, but 4 weeks seems excessive, as someone else said, tell them to prove to you where it says you must give 4 weeks notice or you won’t get paid what you’re owed, because I’m pretty sure that’s not legal

Are you talking about holiday pay? Most companies require 4 weeks notice, and it’s the polite thing to do to provide some sort of notice period. It’s never a good idea to fuck over an employer, you don’t know when it’s going to come back to you.
