Hello Ladies! I’m searching for advice on baby shower etiquette. I’m throwing my best friend’s baby shower, who isn’t finding out the gender but is having an “outfit” party after baby comes where she can then get gender specific clothing. So for her baby shower that I’m throwing, I was wondering if it was rude to say “please stick to the registry”?? Or what is a polite way of sending that message? So that she doesn’t get a ton of gender neutral clothing and not the items that are necessities.

I know you can return clothes for gift cards and such but I also just had my baby shower and got maybe 7 or 8 items from my registry, the rest was clothes! And we share a lot of the same friends so that’s where my concern is coming from.

Any advice/experience would be wonderful!
