When did you know?

Question

Just left the doctor and she ordered tests to look into PCOS. I have had darker facial hair, inability to lose weight, and irregular periods. 
My question is, when did you all know? I’m feeling really nervous and pretty scared. 
How did you all move forward? 
We’ve been TTC for 6 months.

Doctor just called. She believes I have PCOS and I’m starting metformin today. Now to begin the journey of weight loss... I’ve already been trying with little success. I can’t let this get in the way of TTC. I’m just so sad now that I know my body is failing me and worse that I failed it.

In the back of my mind, I knew something was wrong since I was 12. I would only have a cycle up to 3 times a year. Even when I was skinny and before I lost my virginity. So as I got older, nothing really changed. So I kept digging and finding doctors who would listen to me. Finally found someone to schedule me a transvaginal ultrasound, then I was told to look for something similar to pearls in my ovaries. I seen them with my own eyes. Which made me feel so much better. Now I'm actively ttc with my husband.

I have somewhat irregular periods and some facial hair, it’s light tho. And I just got tested for pcos and ended up not having it! But I swear I was paranoid for months thinking I did, so I’m hoping you don’t have it either!🤞🏼 
However my doctor told me if I were to have it that cloned and metphormin were very successful medicines for women with pcos.
