My husband and i have been married since November of this year through the local city hall. We wanted to get married on our terms, our way and I wouldn’t have done it any other way!

So six months later we had an “engagement party” that was basically a wedding.

We were both the first siblings in our families to get hitched and i wasn’t crazy about having a wedding to begin with until i realized our siblings will one day be talking their wedding days and my husband and i won’t be able to join that conversation nor show our kids wedding photos.

It’s a lot at stake if i don’t have one but i just feel like the money and the stress isn’t worth it for 8 hours.
