Pride month

I was super excited for pride month so I asked my parents to take me and my amazing bestfriend to a pride even. I am pansexual and my bestfriend is bisexual. My mom said she probably will take us. So I talked to her about it and now she's saying shes worried someone will protest and things will get violent. Lgbtq+ people should not have to be afraid of this stuff. It's so not fair. And it makes me so fricken mad. I just wish i could celebrate my differences in peace. Happy pride month everyone.
