First Ultrasound?

Does anyone know when I’ll be able to have my first ultrasound. I’m about 5 weeks and my first appointment is on the 21st. I’m just so anxious 🙃🙃🙃

It really depends on your doctor and where you live. Alot of places are moving away from multiple ultrasounds in pregnancy unless you are high risk. Where I live you get one anatomy scan at 20-22 weeks and that's it. Other places like to get a dating / basic anatomy scan around 12 weeks. There's very little benefit to early ultrasounds in uncomplicated pregnancies unless you are using them for dating in women who have irregular cycles or are unsure of their last LMP. There really isn't alot known about the potential negative effects of repeated ultrasound exposure on the developing fetus. However, the majority of practitioners believe ultrasound are safe at any stage of pregnancy there is little benefit, so why do an unnecessary test.

I had my first appointment  yesterday. They just took my blood and gave me some gifts. But she told me my next appointment we will do a ultrasound I'll be  6 weeks. Most places they wait until ur 7-8 weeks
