I think either one. My husband emotionally cheated on me and it hurt because it was sharing all these intimate things and feeling that i thought were just between us. Now we worked through it but I took me about a year to fully get over it.

Depends on the situation. My man cheated physically, aka just hit it & quit it. However I had a 5 year affair and was emotionally very attached/in love with another man for years before we ever had sex and he said THATS what killed him, not the physical part. 🤷🏻‍♀️
