I am dating someone. We went from online only to over Skype and we talk a lot. I am at home with my parents for the summer and I am on their phone plan. I want to say something, but (a) I’m not sure what we’re doing yet, or (b) how my mom will react. I am turning 21 soon and have been very careful with this person and we are taking our time. It has been a few months. What is the best way to break it to her? Or warm her up to the idea? We met on a site she would not approve of and he is improving his station at the moment and she is a little snobby. He is wonderful and I don’t want her to take him the wrong way. I want to be honest, but preserve his privacy and keep talking.
