Flu vaccine for family
Saw another post that got me thinking... would it be unreasonable to expect my friends and family to get the flu shot before I give birth if they intend to visit (in hospital or at home)? My mil is what you may call an anti-Vaxer to an extent. I was casually talking to her about the flu shot. And she looked horrified and went on about the chemicals/ mercury and it’s supposed ineffectiveness. I personally have gotten the shot for the past 10+ years and work in schools. I don’t have a great immune system and have never gotten the flu. I urged her and my fil to get one this year because they are getting older. She then told my hubs about our conversation and was kinda acting like I was nuts for caring about them! With little one coming during flu season, I am a little worried (honestly, for everyone! I hope everyone protects themselves this year!).
