Masturbation is a great way for teens to get to know their bodies and also figure out if something might be wrong physically, I for example discovered my microperforate hymen myself and my gyn said I was quite lucky to figure it out myself as tearing it during sex would be quite painful. It’s also a good way for teens to figure out a bit of what they like sexually rather than having to figure it out during their first few times of having sex, but it’s not a big deal if a teen doesn’t want to masturbate, either.
Porn just depends on the type of porn watched— some of it can be unrealistic and mislead teens while the more amateur productions can actually be quite accurate in depictions of real sex/awkwardness in real sex. Minors are not supposed to consume porn but if they do I’d rather that they watch the more realistic versions than the very unrealistic ones.

A majority of porn is geared to be visually stimulating for men, not what women actually find pleasurable. Also you didn't say your age but I think a 17 year old seeing porn is very different than say a 12 or 13 year old. 
Masturbation is fine at any age but I'd be cautious of porn.
