Please I need someone's help

So my boyfriend and I have been together for a while. He left last month for work in British virgin Islands. I live in South Africa and that's where he originally comes from too.

I've never been in a long distance relationship and this current relationship is my longest, most committed and most serious.

I'm currently in school so I can't do anything about visiting him, I'd need a visa and a lot of money to fly up there. I do trust him, I know he's a hard worker and he's busy working all the time. The time difference for me is 6 hours ahead of his, so its quite difficult in the sense that when he wakes up to speak in his morning, I'll be at school and when I message him after school, he'll be at work. I usually put my phone on loud so I get his messages when he's finished with work, which is 2am Here by me and with school and exams I shouldn't be up at that time anyway.

I don't want to go into much more detail but he was only meant to stay for 3 months, now he got offered to stay 6 and he wants to take it (a job in his field is exceptionally hard to get)...

So could anyone PLEASE help, I don't know how to deal with this long distance. I end up crying every single night because it's so hard without him. Will I get used to it? How do I deal with it??
