I mean I know some woman on here got positives until their period but weren't pregnant. Me on the other hand I got positives and I was pregnant. So I guess it really isn't the best indicator

No they don’t stay positive. around the time that your period is due and/or when you are late for your period, you can get a positive ovulation test because they can pick up hcg. This happened to me. But they do go back negative after ovulation until then..
