BIRTH STORY!

I was due 2/18/18. However my cervix wouldn’t dilate and i was barely 1 cm. On Thursday, February 22nd I was scheduled for a induction. I went in at 6 pm to start the cervix softening pills. I was 1 cm and 60% effaced. I got my first little pill at 8 pm, and my second at 12 am. I was suppose to receive another at 2 am. At 1 am, I felt a warm water trickle and told my nurse. She assured me it was just discharge and to just put a towel in between my legs (but I knew it wasn’t, it was all over me) About 5 minutes before I was suppose to receive my next pill, a tech came in and I told her I needed to pee. I got out of bed and my water started flowing out finally. I got to the bathroom and huge flows of water we’re coming out. I felt my first real contraction and that’s when the last huge flow came out. I screamed “MY WATER BROKE” and the tech said “yeah that’s what happens” and I replied with ?? You need to tell my nurse. She asked me if they had broke my water and I yelled “NO!!” So she got the nurse in and they used a strip to test me and it was positive for my water breaking. I was measuring only 4 cm then. A hour goes by and contractions are real. I ask for a epidural and they told it would take a hour. So they gave me IV meds to hold me over. Finally the epidural came. After it was placed they checked me again and I was 8‼️ cm! (They were suppose to break my water at 7 am and start me on pitocin. But everything already happened naturally after the pills. ) They put my leg on a birthing ball and told me to wait. Around 8:20 I felt a pressure and I calmly told my boyfriend and MIL that I needed to push. They came in to check again and it was time! I pushed for 15 minutes, And he was born at 8:35 am! Everything happened so quickly. I teared by urethra but that was it!
