Please help! How to upholster this changing table?

I got a changing table from a friend. It’s not in the best shape. How would you fix this up? We have a crib but no other real furniture yet. No dresser. Do we put in shelves? I don’t know what to do with that big space that used to have drawers. (She said they broke.) thanks in advance! 🙏

You could make a basket type thing like this for the missing shelf or wrap it tightly in twine or ribbon to create a shelf.

You could add another piece of wood in the middle and make another shelf. Then get some cute baskets and put them on that shelf and on the bottom. Homegoods usually has some really cute and pretty baskets. You can also paint it to match what furniture you get, or paint it a color/pattern to make the room pop

I’d maybe get it fit for a piece of glass to have an extra shelf in the middle. You’ll also need a changing pad, so it’s really not in terrible shape

Stencils always jazz things up lol. If you have Pinterest look up nursery furniture make overs. I do that a lot for furniture in my house and they have great tips and suggestions. Good luck 😁
