What does freedom of speech mean to you?

Does it mean speaking freely without consequence? Does censoring infringe on the right to freedom of speech? Do laws like prohibiting slander infringe on the right to freedom of speech?
I'm just curious if it means something different to everyone.

Freedom of speech just means you can't be arrested for saying your political/religious beliefs. There's no such thing as freedom of consequence to what you say (other than things that are already illegal such as assault, etc.)

There’s literally no such thing as freedom from consequences. Consequences are literally just what happens after a behavior. They can be good or bad.

I’ve thought about making this post before here. 😂 I so often see people say “FREEDOM OF SPEECH” when you tell them you’re not supposed to talk about abortion here (for example) or if they use a slur and get called out on it.

Freedom of speech as understood by the first amendment is the guarantee that congress shall not pass any law infringing the right to free speech. It does not prohibit companies or organizations from creating rules for the proper speech or expression of their employees who represent them, particularly while in the workplace. It does not prevent companies or organizations from creating rules about proper speech or expression from a customer base who uses their proprietary technology to communicate. This is why companies can fire employees who post derogatory trash on social media and Glow can delete posts and ban users that break their rules.
We do have laws, however, that allow citizens to sue other citizens for defamation, laws against incitement (words that encourage others to violent, lawless action) or against true threats (or threatening to kill someone). I do think libel laws are still in line with the First Amendment, as they solely give an individual the right to seek monetary compensation for the loss of income or reputation due to another individual’s words against them that display a blatant disregard for the truth. The burden of proof is tough, and moreso if the plaintiff is a government official (as it should be). Incitement or threats, however, seem like an accepted infringement to the right to free speech. It means you can be prosecuted and punished by a government agency for a certain type of speech, one that is directly and imminently encouraging others to act violently or one that is directly threatening to harm another individual. I do think these are good and necessary laws, but I also think they do not adhere to the First Amendment, as written. I’ve tried to do a bit of research to find out how they were argued—constitutionally—but so far haven’t found much.

You can say whatever you want without repercussions from the law but, any person or private business can then treat you however they like ( not violence) As in getting kicked out of college, losing your job, friends etc. ruining relationships and your character

Freedom of speech means i can say whatever i want. However on this app there is no freedom of speech. I believe in freedom of speech, but people today feel the need to constantly limit what one have to say which i do find annoying. 
Another thing that people tend to miss is that, when you want freedom of speech, disagreement goes hand in hand and nobody has to agree. Again something that a lot of people fail to understand on this app.
