Gestational Diabetes Anyone??

Just found out I failed my 3 hour glucose test.... anyone else have gestational diabetes? I’m kinda freaking out bc I really am a fairly healthy eater, and have been gluten free and low carb for two years now.  Any tips, tricks, dos and don’ts? This is my first pregnancy, and no one in my family has had gestational diabetes so this is new territory.

GD is a bitch. It strikes fat and skinny, healthy and unhealthy. So dont take it personal. Its simply a hormomal thing and nothing you could do to prevent it. Follow your diet plan and watch your sugar levels. With my son I was able to slightly tweak my diet and keep my sugars in balance.

this is my 2nd pregnancy and I've had it with both. Sadly this go around I was diagnosed at 16 weeks so I've been on the diet for twice as long. thankfully I've been able to control mine by diet only... But it's a real struggle. things that might work for others, won't work for you. I have had a few emotional breakdowns over a big plate of spaghetti or a huge glass of root beer haha. But I'm 35 weeks and almost at the end!!! You can do it!

I was diagnosed at 28 weeks and I’m now 31 weeks. It’s diet controlled though. It’s difficult. I want and crave carbs everyday but I don’t want this pregnancy issue to become a life long issue. I just keep telling myself I’m almost at the finish line.
