Is highschool hyped up?

Do you think people hype up highschool too much? Like In movies and real life? At school when I was hanging out with my friends in the hall during lunch they were talking about the type of ppl the wanna be at the school (I wanna be known for parties,getting high,etc) even though highschool is just a part of life to me 🤷‍♀️

Oh god, High School is nothing like what you see in movies or in TV shows. High school is a load of crap. They say there prepping you for further education but I saw high school as a prep for life. Everyone has different experiences so I can’t speak for anyone else but for me it was hard but worth it. High school is a very hard 4 years for most people. You will have relationships that you think will last forever and then get upset because they didn’t, but you’ll get over it. You’ll define a reputation for yourself, whether it be good or bad and people will judge you for it but at the end of those LONG 4 years, you’ll see that none of those people or the crap that said DOES NOT MATTER-AT ALL! And make sure you have AT LEAST 1 teacher you trust and can go to because 1. They are an elder, they’ve been through high school and they understand. 2. If it’s a serious issue, they have the authority to do something about it. And 3. Its kinda like having a parent at school, but they’re not your parent so it’s easier for you to talk to them and not feel judged. Establish good relationships and high school will be a breeze, that’s all I’ve got to say! ❤️

High school is not like the movies (especially so for me since I'm homeschooled). But I think teens hype up high school themselves, with all the hormones and drama. Lol
