So, my sweet husband has a new step-parent. His biological father, who we hardly have contact with, got married a year ago this past January to a lady who doesn’t treat us all respectfully. My sister-in-law is due in July and had her baby shower today. Of course, their biological dad and his new wife were invited. The issue we’re having is that the new wife has taken it upon herself to give herself a grandparent name for our soon to be here children. We hardly ever see their dad and her. Is there a nice way to say we don’t think she has deserved the right to a grandparent name for our children?
