unsure

So I was talking to this guy for a few months that i went to school with and we finally decided to go on a date a couple of weeks ago but the night we were suppose to go I didn't hear from him at all. and the whole two weeks later I didn't hear from him. but this morning he sent me a text saying he was really sorry that he was in jail and wanted to try that date again , I knew he did have a warrant for having weed on him but anyway should I meet up with him?
