So...I met an interesting guy who is 18 years younger than me in an ongoing class. I’m in my mid 40’s. He’s in his 20’s.

Last weekend, we hung out after our group disbanded, but planned our first solo date last night. It was a really nice date. He was boyish in some ways but very emotionally mature in others.

I have mixed feeling about it...

I like spending time with him because he’s sweet, isn’t negative about dating and doesn’t have kids. I haven’t found many 40-50 year olds caring and exciting enough. I haven’t dated anyone seriously in awhile because I just have felt it.

However, I’m thinking that this probably won’t last long with the age difference. I look very young, but I’m still my age. I’m also a woman of color and he is white.

Thoughts? Has anyone done this before?
