contractions maybe? or just flu

I'm 36 weeks and 5 days and I've felt so terrible all night.. kinda like I'm sick with the flu but it comes and goes. im a ftm and have no idea what contractions feel like and I've heard some people say they didn't even know they were having them so I'm just curious as to what some of you would compare them too. even if I am having them they're not nearly as frequent as they should be for labor but it still hurts and makes me nauseous even.

I had the worst abdominal pain when I was diagnosis with flu strain b. I actually thought I was in labor went to the labor and delivery ward and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I figured it out the best day . Since it’s not flu season nor can it be officially say what it is. If something doesn’t feel right, please give your doctor a call. You are 36 weeks pregnant,  it’s getting very close for you.

Is it flu, like, snotty nose with tissues? Or, flu, like, feeling achy and run down? The feeling achy is an immune response and suggests an infection somewhere.
