is this US normal?

I was only 5w6d in this ultrasound. I only got it done because they thought that I was 8w5d. But I feel like we should have at least seen something in the ultrasound. a little ball or something :( is it normal? or was it too soon. I wasn't told if it had a heartbeat but I didn't ask since I was so excited to see my baby. can anybody offer any insight to my ultrasound please. and calm my nerves lol

Yeah that’s normal you can only really see the fluid at this point. In the picture on the left, the small line in the middle is an edge of the “yolk” that’s where your little one is growing. X

Before 6 weeks all you’ll see is the sac which is what’s in the scan 😊 So in a few days time the little hearty will start to develop and then it will show up on scans 😊 congratulations!!💕

Same thing happened to me! Went in last Tuesday thinking I was 6.5 weeks but based on the gestational sac measurement, they are thinking I was more like 5 weeks 4 days so they told me to come back in a week - the appt is tomorrow and they expect to see much more!
