Labor stories?

Here’s my labor story.

I went to my doctors appointment and I was 40 wks and 5 days i believe. They said I had high blood pressure again (hyper tension) and they wanted me to go in at 12:45am March 28th. I could not believe it. I tried to sleep and be ready but I couldn’t. We went in, and I got into my gown.

They had to dilate me with a balloon thing. (gross. I hated it) once I dilated to a 3 they started pitocin. (None of this went quickly.) I got to a 4 and they gave me the epidural and broke my water. Things very slowly progressed. I needed oxygen multiple times, they had to roll me onto different sides because her heart rate dropped a couple times. I finally got to a 10 and started pushing. It was me, a nurse, my fiancé, and my mother. The doctor wasn’t even in there. (Annoying.) I pushed for 4 hours. The doctor came in in the last hour or even half hour, and said that I was gonna have to go for a c section. My epidural stopped working during the 4 hours of pushing. I was scream-crying in pain, my daughter was stuck and flipped the wrong way (looking upwards). The anesthesiologist has to come in and quickly give me a big shot of epidural or something. I got into the c section room and when they pulled her out I felt pain and felt like I couldn’t breath. I needed a different pain med. My daughter was born 8 lbs 7 oz 21 in long. She had to go to the nicu because we both had a fever after me being in labor for 39 HOURS. I had to stay in the hospital for 3 more days so all together I was in the hospital for 5 days. My fiancé was the best person in the world. He took care of her for a few days because I couldn’t get up, and had to help take care of me. My daughter is completely healthy, passed all her tests in the hospital and had a 0 jaundice level (which the nurses said they’d never seen before).

Timber Mae is now 2 months old, and we love her so so much. She’s our world.

Shes a daddy’s girl already and we’re so blessed. I’m only 18 and I wouldn’t change anything for the world.
