... well not actually “phone”, but his snapchat. He gave me the username and password but was very adamant that I ONLY keep up streaks while he’s out of the country. He said he didn’t have anything to hide, but he’s just a private person and feels weird about people looking through his phone.

At the time, I didn’t think I would. But a few nights into, I couldn’t sleep and casually looked through a couple messages. And I don’t know how to bring up what I found.

We’ve been together for almost a year. And I read a conversation he had with a girl a couple weeks before we even met. And he was out of the country and in the hospital. He was telling her that it doesn’t look good and he has a bacterial disease that medicine can’t fix. And that he had surgery to remove it but not all of it came out so there was a 50/50 chance his immune system would fight it off. He said it didn’t look good and he made a bucket list.

We met at a college orientation a few weeks later. And since then, we would FaceTime every night and we would tell each other that we had very strong feelings for each other.

A few weeks after that, he went with his family to Greece. And in the messages with that girl, right before we left (but after we started talking, but weren’t an official couple yet) he told her that his goal is to kiss a Greek from Greece. And it’s on his bucket list. (Which leaves me thinking, he was still sick and could be dying).

We are almost a year in and he never mentioned anything about this to me. He told me all about when he was younger and some really low points in his life, but never mentioned any of this to me.

I casually asked about his trip last summer to see if he would bring it up, but the closest he would tell me is that he got a little stomach virus. What do I do????
