Kidney/ urinary tract abnormalities before birth?

I went in for my 20 week scan and a valve that goes from babies kidney to whatever is next is dilated. I have to go back in for another ultrasound in 4 weeks... has this happened to anyone?

Haven’t had this experience with my baby, but I was born with this, they called it renal reflux.  Had to get tested annually to evaluate the valve function, but by age 13 I grew out of it and never had any issues.  Best of luck!

Male or female ? My Son had dialted kidneys. They say its sorta common in male fetuses when he was born it corrected its self.

I was told today that my boy has 1 kidney that seems large, but wasn’t given much more information than that yet, I’m so nervous. Keep us updated! I’m 20 weeks

I was just told last week that there was some “density” in my babies kidneys and I need to go back for another ultrasound to see exactly what that means. Not EXACTLY the same situation but I have been driving myself crazy!
