My boyfriend & I have been TTC for a year. Back in October we found out that he has a low sperm count & his doctor told us we would have about a 30% chance of conceiving anywhere from now to 10 years. With our history of being together on & off for 11 years & I have a 5 year old, with another man. We didn’t think it would be possible. One day he talked with his Dr. about some options & what can he do. He had mentioned surgery due to the reason why he had a low sperm out had to do with varicose vein in his left testicular. The beginning of the year he went ahead & did the surgery, the surgery was unsuccessful due to a hydrocele, which causes fluid in the testicular area. In April he had another surgery to remove the hydrocele & his doctor mentioned that he had a small chance of it repeating. He was doing good the first 3 weeks & one weekend in beginning of May he was good so we had sex for the first time since his first surgery & 2 days later he started to drain water & blood & by Monday he started draining more blood than water & he became more swollen. Tuesday he had a Dr. appointment & when he went in the transferred him to the hospital for another surgery. He had to have a wound vac so to be sure he didn’t fill back up. He’s been off the wound vac for 2 weeks as of Wednesday. We were giving the ok to have sex & in 2 months he is doing another sperm analysis to see where his sperm count is.... Now I just realized I’m 5 days late on my period & my boobs have been tender & sore for about a week now I didn’t think much of it because we just started having sex but we had sex one time in the beginning on May.. My mind has been going in circles the past 2 days.
