UPDATE AT BOTTOM!

Since I’m obsessed with Harry Potter and we’re waiting to find out the gender until birth, we figured, what’s better than an HP nursery? Almost nothing! That’s what! Haha!

We’re still waiting on some things to come in, but so far, we’ve made everything ourselves (except the crib and chair obviously).

We’re still waiting on the cage to put our little Hedwig in as well as the curtains. The bamboo is drying outside to make our broomstick curtain rods.

I also have to finish the quilt. I just have to work on it little by little because my fingers hurt after an hour or so of hand stitching. 😳 I don’t know how our grandparents did it back in the day! Haha!

We will put up the decal on the wall after we get all of the other stuff completed. Which we ordered from Etsy. We’re SO pumped about finishing it! 😍😍

Here’s what we’ve made so far...

The mobile plays the Harry Potter theme song. It took me about 12 hours to cut out and sew all those little fellas together, but it was SOOOO worth it!

Here’s a better look at the little characters that consumed me for a LONG time. 😉

Hedwig’s cage will hang from that little cage hanger in the corner there.

We used an old dresser someone gave us and refinished it to look like luggage.

And this is everything we have left to make or have ordered and are waiting for it to come in...

This is a shelf we’ve already made once, but we’re making another one for the baby’s room!

I made the broom out of bamboo we had cut down. I took a couple of pictures during the process. We’re still drying it out and once all the green is gone, we’re going to stain the handle with stain that my husband MADE himself. We make a pretty handy team! 😍

And here it is, fully constructed and hanging up while it storms outside... then it’s back out in the sun until it rains again!

We got some really cool hooks to hold them on the wall that I’ll post later! ❤️

CURTAINS ARE UP!

Once the bamboo is finished drying, I’ll stain the handle and trim the bristles.

Hedwig’s cage came in smaller than I expected, so I have another one on the way. Until then, she’s in this tiny cage! 😳

My light switch cover came in too! Yay!

FINALLY finished the quilt! I thought I would NEVER be done with it! What a relief! 😍🧙🏻‍♂️✨⚡️
